HR/Employee Manual Course Description:
Each year, new employment laws are passed and court decisions interpreting employment laws change the employment landscape. Yet, each year employers dust off their employee handbooks and hand the same old policies to new employees without often considering whether the contents are still legally compliant. While an employee manual itself isn’t legally required, there are over 10+ laws that require employers to have a written policies. Templates for manuals and policies are easy to find on the internet, but are you familiar with what policies you should have in place and if they’re California compliant?
