Course Description:

This course will give recent grads a basic understanding of the various IDRs (IBR, PAYE, REPAYE, ICR). Attendees will learn when to consolidate or refinance loans and considerations relating to the purchase of a dental practice and the PSLF Program.

Course Outcomes:

1. Having an increased understanding of student loan types and key decisions to improve financial outcomes.
2. Knowing how and when to consolidate and refinance your students loans relative to purchasing a practice and other financial objectives of an early-career dentist.

Speaker:

Wesley Read is the founder of PracticeCFO, a financial planning and CPA firm specializing in practice owners. Wesley has been working with practice owners since 2007.

Earlier in his career, Wesley had audited the financial statements of fortune 500 corporations during his employment at Ernst and Young LLP, the third largest accounting firm in the country.  After his time with Ernst and Young, Wesley joined the wealth management division of Moss Adams Wealth Advisors LLC. Wesley worked with some of the industry’s top thinkers in managing approximately one billion dollars of client assets. Prior to his professional experience, Wesley received a bachelor and master’s degrees, both in accounting from Brigham Young University; programs that are recognized in the top accounting schools in the nation.
