Join us for the Annual Women’s Afternoon Retreat!
This event grew out of a desire to provide personal inspiration and practical application for female dentists in our region. We bring women with diverse backgrounds, specialties, and styles of practice together with the intent to offer connection, collaboration, and tools to encourage leadership in their professional and personal lives. It will be an unforgettable afternoon at a beautiful private estate in Rancho Santa Fe. You will connect with industry professionals while enjoying an elegant poolside luncheon in a relaxed environment.
Our two featured speakers, Amanda Flisher (https://amandaflisher.com/) and Dr. Megan Clarke will address how self-care practices positively impact leadership effectiveness and communication with others. Discussions will also help you assess how your personality defines your leadership style.

Amanda’s career as a Leadership Coach is marked by over a decade of extensive experience in executive coaching, team development, and sector-spanning consulting, including work in corporate settings, academic institutions, government bodies, military groups, non-profits, and other organizations. Her specialization in strengths-based strategies enables her to guide individuals and teams towards discovering their unique purpose, optimizing decision-making, and enhancing overall satisfaction in their professional endeavors.
Equipped with a Master’s in Organizational Management and a Professional Certified Coach credential through the International Coach Federation, Amanda is acknowledged as an trusted expert in leadership development. Her training as a strengths educator with Gallup has allowed her to influence thousands through insightful coaching and dynamic workshops, focusing on the practical application of personal and team strengths.
Beyond her coaching endeavors, Amanda has made significant contributions to education and community development. She has shared her expertise in leadership and personal development as an adjunct professor for eight years and currently leads as the Chair of the Board at the San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum. Her relentless pursuit of empowering leaders to reach their full potential, building stronger teams, and boosting employee engagement, underscores her unwavering commitment to the advancement of leadership excellence.

Megan Clarke, D.D.S., F.I.C.D.

Leadership coach, Dr. Megan Clarke, works with dentists and doctors to enhance their leadership capabilities. She believes in the leadership abilities of each individual, and through her knowledge and expertise, she coaches doctors to find their own, authentic leadership style. Dr. Clarke brings over 15 years of private practice experience, as both an associate and private practice owner. She graduated in 2004 from the prestigious University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, and is also an alumnus of the University of California, San Diego.
She initiated her private practice with a small niche focus but through her implementation of humanistic values, she effectively doubled her patient base and tripled the revenues. She emphasized the importance of continuing education to better serve her patients, often taking double the number of continuing education hours required. In addition, she spent her spare time reading about leadership skills, and through trial and error, incorporated many of those skills into practice focusing on building a stellar team.
Forced to retire from dentistry due to an unforeseen hand injury, Dr. Clarke returned to her field by investing in her passion of building leadership skills and creating exceptional teams. She is currently in a Master’s program at the University of Colorado at Boulder, studying the Science of Organizational Leadership, with a specialization of Human Resources Management. With this degree, she aims to start her own company coaching doctors to lead excellent teams through the development and implementation of solid Human Resource policies within their practices or places of employment.
Dr. Clarke is a fellow of the International College of Dentistry, an honor’s society, and a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Diego County Dental Society.
