Course Description:
Teach BLS to the Healthcare Provider in a way that provides CPR to the patient and emotional support for the rescuer. Review and stay up to date on new basic life support practices and techniques. All office personnel are welcome to participate and receive their AHA CPR Card.
Course Objectives:
- Describe the importance of high-quality CPR and its impact on survival
- Apply the BLS concepts of the Chain of Survival
- Recognize the signs of someone needing CPR
- Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- Describe the importance of early use of and demonstrate correct usage of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Provide effective ventilation by using a barrier device
- Describe the importance of and perform as a team member during multi-rescuer resuscitation
- Describe the technique for relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for an adult, child, or infant
SDCDS is an ADA CERP Recognized provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. SDCDS designates this activity for four (4) continuing education credits.
Free Event Policy
We are committed to providing high-quality courses and events for our members. To ensure fairness and availability to all attendees, we have adopted a no-show policy for our free courses. If you are unable to attend a free CE course, please provide a minimum of 72 hours’ notice. If you don’t attend a free CE class and fail to provide the necessary notice, your free CE benefit will be waived for the year.
Paid Event Policy
We understand that you have busy lives and may need to reschedule. If you are unable to attend a paid course and wish to seek a refund, please provide a minimum of 72 hours’ notice before the scheduled event. Refund requests within this timeframe will be processed accordingly. Failure to provide the necessary notice will result in the loss of your refund eligibility.
