8th Annual Afternoon Tea | Women in Leadership Seminar

- This event has passed.
LOCATION:
Join us for the 8th Annual Afternoon Tea | Women in Leadership Seminar!
The Afternoon Tea | Women in Leadership Seminar grew out of a desire to provide personal inspiration and practical application for female dentists in our region. We bring women with diverse backgrounds, specialties, and styles of practice together with the intent to offer connection, collaboration and tools to encourage leadership in their professional and personal lives.
All are welcome to attend this learning experience that equips women leaders with actionable strategies to overcome the hurdles women often face.
The founder of this event, Dr. Malieka Johnson explained “[i]t is beneficial for us to continue nurturing our leadership skills. And what better way then alongside our colleagues?” “We dentists benefit from camaraderie and mutual understanding of our line of work. We get refreshed when we meet and learn together” (August Facets Issue, 2019. p. 12).
Each year we focus on one topic area, this year is rebuilding confidence in the work setting with Ms. Idara Ogunsaju!
Keynote Lecture:
The Confidence Talk: I SAID SOAR
This keynote covers strategies for rebuilding confidence in the work setting in two parts:
The confidence on you and the confidence in you.
Shared with relatable scenarios and a couple of bonus points, the confidence talk simultaneously validates your experience and bolsters your confidence.
