Achieving ideal aesthetics, especially with anterior implants, is one of the most difficult restorative challenges we face as clinicians. Success will only be achieved if all variables are addressed that can lead to compromised aesthetics and the clinician takes control of these variables. These include ideal implant placement, maintaining and nurturing soft tissue contours, provisionalization, and choice of materials for the abutment and overlying crown. Join Dr. Hornbrook as he discusses ways to overcome the most common compromises as he discusses the “Crown Down” philosophy when placing implants, fabricating custom transfer posts, aesthetic abutments focusing on the “H” abutment, cementable verses screw-retained crowns, and provisionalization. This is a very practical course designed for clinicians to take the knowledge presented and immediately apply it to their restorative practices.
Dr. David Hornbrook is a gifted clinician and product researcher turned mentor. Through education, Dr. Hornbrook guides participants of his instructive events to the realization that they, too, possess the ability to practice aesthetic dentistry at the very highest level. He is one of dentistry’s most famous faces and one of the pioneers of live-patient, hands-on clinical education, as the founder and past director of Pac-live and the Hornbrook Group. He has been a guest faculty member of the post-graduate programs in Cosmetic Dentistry at Baylor, Tufts, SUNY at Buffalo, UMKC, and the UCLA Center of Cosmetic Dentistry.
