That’s why we are offering three essential CE courses, all in one day for FREE! Whether you need to renew your BLS, DPA, or IC certification, we have you covered. We know how important these classes are, and we are happy to offer these classes to our members at no cost! Select the courses you need and ensure your license remains up-to-date. Here is the class schedule for the day:

Attendees will be able to identify licensing categories and permit programs. They will also understand the allowable functions for different auxiliaries. Attendees will be able to identify signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect in both children and elders and understand what it means to be a mandatory reporter. They will be able to identify several examples of unprofessional conduct and understand the components encompassing professional ethics.
Attendees will understand the importance of wearing personal protective equipment and the appropriate use of disinfectants and barriers. They will be able to describe the proper method for sharps disposal as well as other engineering controls. They will also understand how bloodborne pathogens are transmitted. Finally, Attendees will understand the Minimum Standards for Infection Control from the California Dental Practice Act.
Joyce Weeks, M.Sc., B.S. graduated from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth with a master’s in Immunology and Global Health in 2014. She completed her undergraduate studies with a bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Colorado State University. Mrs. Weeks joined Dental Ed, Inc. in September of 2014 and became Owner in 2023. She brings a valuable resource with her knowledge of immunology and infectious disease. As the daughter of a dentist and dental infection control educator, she has assisted both in the varied aspects of their dental professions. This gives her unique insight into the need for education for PPE, disease transmission, vaccinations, and prevention.

The AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Course is designed to provide healthcare professionals the ability to recognize many life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR for Adult, Child, and Infant, use an AED, and relieve choking. This course is intended for both certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals. The course can also be modified to meet workplace requirements.
Individuals working in healthcare such as physicians, nurses, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, occupational and physical therapists, physician’s assistants, residents, medical or nursing students, medical or nursing assistants, and other allied health personnel.
