This course teaches employers, safety coordinators, or practice administrators how to meet the requirements set forth by California Labor Code 6401.9 in developing, implementing, and training employees on the Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP). Learn how to recognize, assess, and mitigate workplace violence hazards and effectively respond to potential or actual incidents. The templates provided will guide you through the steps of creating your written WVPP policies and protocols.

IMPORTANT: The above Train the Trainer course IS NOT the mandatory Employee Training. It is designed to provide the Trainer with tools to develop and implement a WVPP and train their employees on their site-specific policies, protocols, and reporting requirements.

Leslie’s goal is to help the dental team navigate the sea of state and federal regulations by providing up to date and accurate information. Leslie’s live seminars have earned her the reputation as an outstanding speaker in dentistry. Governmental agencies and dental corporations hire Leslie to investigate safety issues and infection control breaches. She is recognized as a continuing education provider by the California Dental Board and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also authorized by the Department of Labor as an OSHA Outreach Trainer.

     SDCDS is an ADA CERP Recognized provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. SDCDS designates this activity for up to two (2) continuing education credits.
