Committees are a great way to get involved, share your perspective, and contribute to the work of the organization. Whether you’re interested in shaping programs, supporting fellow members, or helping move initiatives forward, committee service offers a meaningful way to stay connected and engaged. Check out our active committees below!
Our committees meet on average 4-6 times a year. Some meetings are in person while others are via Zoom, depending on committee member availability. Committee members are invited to attend our events and to act as representatives of the organization. Generally, we ask that committee members set aside 2-3 hours per month to dedicate to committee responsibilities.
Interested but not sure? No problem! Join as a guest by contacting our Executive Director, Angela Landsberg, at director@sdcds.org. No commitment is necessary. Just attend a meeting to see if it feels like a good fit for you. We’d love to meet you and welcome your input and ideas. Hope to see you there!
2026 Election of Officers, Directors, and Delegates
SDCDS is seeking dedicated members to help shape the future of our organization. The 2026 election will fill seats for three (3) Board of Directors positions, Secretary, seven (7) Delegates to the CDA House of Delegates (2027–2029 term), one treasurer, and one Representative to the Board of Component Representatives.
Serving in one of these roles is a meaningful way to be involved in the direction of the San Diego County Dental Society. Leadership positions offer the opportunity to represent your colleagues, influence organized dentistry at both the local and state levels, and help guide the priorities and initiatives that impact our profession.
